Your first consultation
Dr. Navdeep goes through your history: how long you have been trying, your cycles, past pregnancies, operations, medicines and lifestyle. Couples are seen together wherever possible.

Tests
Usually a pelvic ultrasound, hormone blood tests including AMH, and a semen analysis for your partner. Some tests are timed to a particular day of your cycle.

Your plan
Once the results are in, he explains what they mean and the options that suit you, from simple steps such as timed intercourse or ovulation tablets to IUI, IVF or surgery, with the likely timeline and costs.

Treatment and follow-up
Monitoring scans and reviews along the way, and a clear next step after each treatment, whatever the result.
Before your first visit
What to bring
- Your IC or passport
- Previous blood tests, scans and semen analysis reports, for both of you
- Summaries from any earlier IUI or IVF cycles, including embryo reports
- Operation notes and discharge summaries
- A list of the medicines and supplements you take
- A referral letter, if you have one
How to prepare
- Note the first day of your last period and how long your cycles usually are
- Write down your questions beforehand
- Come with your partner if you can
- Ask about timing, costs, risks and alternatives
